Today’s Dental Hygienist assumes many different roles in the community. With the introduction of the National Competencies and new Standards and Practice, advocacy has come to the forefront as a vital component of dental hygiene care. Join us for an evening of learning how you can effectively incorporate advocacy into your daily practice.
Certificates will be issued towards your professional portfolio requirements.
This seminar will be presented by:
Lila McIndoe RDH B. Ed, Dental Hygiene Program Coordinator for the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene & Auxiliaries
Lila has been a dental hygienist in both private practice and as an educator for over 30 years. As an educator, Lila has worked hard to instill in her students the importance of giving back to the community. Her collaborative efforts with Evangel Hall Mission (ehm) have led to one of the only dental clinics in a Mission setting in Ontario. In partnership with Evangel Hall Mission since 2009 the TCDHA provides preventive dental hygiene services in a supportive healthcare environment.
A light supper will be provided at 7 p.m.
