Combatting Loneliness Through Spiritual Care

Evangel Hall MissionNews

At Evangel Hall Mission, we know that simply surviving isn’t good enough. Through the Spiritual Care Program, trained staff create a supportive environment where individuals can rebuild their confidence and sense of self. You help make this special program possible.

Staff members work hard to build trust. They make an effort to remember people’s names, listen to their stories, ask about their needs, keep their promises, and show kindness and respect without judging them. By showing genuine care, they help people come out of their shell, feel valued, and start looking forward to the future.

Loneliness is tackled through creative activities. There are regular group events like therapy dog visits, board game days, and special events and gatherings. Women’s groups do arts and crafts and talk together, while men watch movies and build friendships. These activities connect people to one another and help them to feel less isolated.

Beyond connection and socializing, the main goal of the Spiritual Care Program is to give each individual something to look forward to. We want to transform simple survival into a life with meaning and purpose. And thanks to your compassionate support, that’s exactly what we’re able to do at Evangel Hall Mission.
